This machine system enables a hole be vertically bored into the centre of round foam buns. It includes a rising cradle which lifts and manoeuvres the foam bun 90 degrees to be positioned ready for a rotating shaft to lower creating a hole. Pneumatic arms hug the bun to secure and stabilise. Air is pushed through the shaft once it has raised back through the bun and pressure pushes the bored foam noodle back out. The arms then release for the cradle to lower back to the default horizontal position to be rolled off or a mandrel inserted.
We are award-winning experts in the design, concept and building of bespoke machinery and automation solutions for the manufacturing and processing sectors, including mattresses, beds, foam, springs and other materials, as well as reducing manual handling.
We offer a range of conveyors used to transport, flip, turn and rotate components in the mattress making process, including heavy duty conveyors to handle and process foam blocks and foam buns.
