This brand new bespoke machine has been developed to enable a mandrel rod to be guided along a chain to penetrate into the pre-bored core of foam buns. This allows them to then be loaded onto a machine to be spun, cut or even compressed.

Once the mandrel rod is inserted into the centre of the foam, a door at the front of the cradle in which it is resting is lowered in order for the roll to run off it.
