The manufacturing sector is undergoing a seismic shift, driven by the digital revolution and is currently going through a rethinking of manufacturing processes from the ground up.
The Manufacturer has produced their latest report about ‘Digital Transformation’.
From 3D Printing and Robotics, to AI, Machine Learning and IIoT, manufacturers and consultants are actively looking for ways to optimise and increase production, streamline and automate processes, reduce or manage and better utilise headcount, prevent bottlenecks and downtime and ensure that they are retaining quality but producing more products faster.
With certain costs increasing or set to increase, there is a growing need to look at how to save on various areas of production. This can be done through the investment of automation machinery, reporting and monitoring through ERP systems and how to make processes more efficient.
“Leveraging digital technologies allows manufacturers to reduce the time, effort and resources required to produce their products, without sacrificing quality or improving upon the initial product quality.”
